What a perfect night for the start of SummerNav 23-24! All the work that goes into the preparation for this series by many people is suddenly all so worthwhile when we see you all turning up with smiles on your faces. It was just great to welcome back those of you we have not seen over winter, and also especially great to be able to welcome many people who were new to SummerNav. We look forward to welcoming you back in the weeks to come. Big thanks to Sarah and Dave who created the courses for you tonight. It was great to hear the very positive comments of the fun people had had on their return. It was also the first time in quite a few years we have been able to use Western Springs College after a period of building on their campus so we were very grateful to be allowed to incorporate it again tonight.
Thank you very much to all of you who entered online for tonight’s event, and especially all of you who have purchased a seasons ticket. If you are going to be attending many of the events it certainly makes sense to do so and makes it much easier both for us and you. If you attended tonight and now think you might buy a seasons ticket just subtract off the amount you have paid already when you pay.
It seems a night of thanks! We also really appreciated all those who helped out at today’s event. It was a busy night with all the first timers, and the great team of people who stayed on at the end to help bring in the controls meant it was all done in record time. Really appreciated.
Next week the event is on WEDNESDAY at Pt England Reserve, at the end of Point England Rd by the river. Course 1 and 2 will also be visiting a few of the surrounding parks. For the first time for many years Pt England Primary has also very kindly allowed us to use their grounds, so again there will be a little new piece for those of you familiar with the map. We look forward to seeing you all there!!
