Great turn out tonight. Welcome to all the new people. Hope you managed to find a route with only one big climb in it, twice up the big hills wasn’t necessary!

Next Wednesday, 21st May is the event you have all been warming up towards – the 3 hour mini city Rogaine! (or a 2 hour option for those not quite as venturous!). For this event we ask you to go out in pairs (or more) in true Rogaine style. If you can not find someone to go with come along at any rate and we will team you up with someone of similar speed and fitness. We are fortunate to have been given the use of the St George Scout Den in Griffin Reserve, at the end of Griffin Ave, Epsom as a centre for this event so you will have somewhere warm and dry to met in before the event and plan your route. On your return, as well as the usual soup there will be a sausage cooking on the BBQ awaiting you. There will again be a mass start at 7pm, but with maps out at 6.45 for planning and drawing an anticipated route on a map to leave with us as a safety measure, including a name and contact number. We suggest, as well as your torch you carry a cell phone with you. Our phone contact number is printed on your map. As different from the lead up events, for this event you visit as many controls as you can in the 3 hours, with points penalties for every minute, or part there of that you are late back in.
